Bill G. Allgood

April 18, 1929 - August 31, 2022

Bill G. Allgood, formerly of Downey, CA, passed away on 8/31/22. Mr. Allgood taught English, speech, and debate at Warren High School from 1961 to 1989. He is preceded in passing by his wife of 60 years, Janis Preiss, his brother Bud, and brother Jim, who taught at Downey High School. Mr. Allgood is survived by his four children: Joyce Lambert, Doug, David, and Mark Allgood; his 26 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.. Second only to his family was the devotion he gave to thousands of students over 28 years in the classroom. As he spent the last 25 years of life in Folsom, CA, a celebration of life service will be held for Mr. Allgood at the Mt. Vernon Mortuary and Memorial Park in Fair Oaks, CA, October 29, 1pm.
