Crime Report: 10/20/21
On Oct. 4 at 12:30 am, officers were dispatched to the 10300 block of Western Ave. regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. Responding officers located the victim and the suspect, both who were unharmed. The initial investigation revealed an argument amongst roommates escalated and one adult female used a glass shard to try to stab another female adult. The suspect was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
On Oct. 6 at 9:40 pm, officers responded to a call of a suspect brandishing a firearm at Buffalo Wild Wings, 193 Stonewood. Officers arrived within moments and detained the adult male suspect. The suspect was involved in a verbal argument inside the restaurant with another customer. The argument followed outside, when the suspect raised his shirt and exposed a firearm in his waistband. A witness grabbed the suspect and a second male hit the suspect in the head with a bottle. The suspect was arrested and a replica firearm was recovered at the scene.
On Oct. 6 at 11:25 pm, officers were dispatched to an armed robbery at the 7300 block of Florence Ave. The adult victim was walking to his apartment when two suspects pulled alongside him in a vehicle. The male suspect approached and pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at the victim, and demanded his property. The suspect took the victim's property and fled in a vehicle.
On Oct. 9 at 12:25 am, officers responded to a fight in progress call at The Glen Bar, 7356 Stewart & Gray Road. The adult victim was involved in a fight with the adult suspect at the bar. The suspect pulled out a knife and the victim sustained a minor laceration during the fight. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle, but was located and arrested.
On Oct. 11 at 9 am, officers responded to a delayed assault, which occurred on the 8100 block of Paramount Blvd. The homeless victim was sleeping behind the gas station and was awakened by a known suspect. The suspect asked the victim for money and motioned towards the victim’s sock where he keeps his money. The suspect cut the victim’s right shin, causing a three inch laceration. The suspect fled prior to officers responding and was not located.
On Oct. 15 at 10:05 pm, officers were dispatched to Telegraph Rd. and True Ave. in regards to a suspect brandishing a firearm. The victim was walking in the riverbed when he was nearly struck by a drone. The victim went to the suspect's residence on Pico Vista Rd. and confronted him. The suspect punched the victim once in the face and pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at him. The victim declined prosecution. Officers attempted to contact the suspect but were unsuccessful.
