Crime Report: 11/29/21
On Nov. 15 at 9:45 am, officers responded to 9305 Firestone Blvd. in regards to an armed robbery. The victim/clerk exited the convenience store to remove the change from the machines. The suspect approached the victim, removed a handgun from his waistband, and struck the suspect on the back of the head. The victim dropped to the ground and the suspect kicked him. The suspect entered the vehicle and fled.
On Nov. 15 at 7:40 pm, officers were dispatched to a delayed report of a robbery at Paramount Blvd and 3rd St. The adult victim left a local business at 2 am when he was approached by two adult male suspects. The victim was assaulted and the suspect removed his cell phone and wallet from his pockets. The victim received a minor injury.
On Nov. 16 at 5 am, officers responded to 12074 Lakewood Blvd, in regards to an assault with a deadly weapon. Responding officers located an adult male with a laceration at an adjacent transient encampment. A preliminary investigation revealed one suspect threatened another with a handgun and he was struck on the head with a piece of wood. The original victim fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival. The suspect sustained a laceration and was transported to the hospital. Detectives responded to handle the investigation.
On Nov. 19 at 7:30 am, officers were dispatched to the 8700 block of Cleta St, in regards to a carjacking. The victim left his vehicle running. The suspect entered the vehicle via the open driver door and was confronted by the victim. When the suspect pulled out a folding knife, the victim backed away in fear and the suspect drove off in the victim's car. The vehicle was later recovered in Los Angeles.
