Crime Report: 6/9/2022
On May 30 at 5:35 am, officers responded to the 8600 block of Imperial Hwy. in regards to an armed carjacking. The suspects approached the adult as he was seated in his vehicle. One suspect brandished a handgun and in fear the victim exited the vehicle. The suspects fled in the victim’s vehicle.
On May 31 at 12:55 am, officers were dispatched to a robbery in progress at the 8300 block of Puritan Ave. The adult victim was outside on his porch, when the suspect approached on a bicycle and demanded his property. The victim refused and the suspect lunged at the victim, who fell back on the floor. The suspect fled the scene and it was at that time the victim noticed he was slashed on the calf and received a small laceration. The victim was treated and the suspect was not located.
On June 1 at 11:05 pm, officers responded to the 11800 block of Downey Ave. in regards to an armed carjacking. The victim arranged to meet through Offer Up to sell his vehicle. The suspect brandished a handgun and ordered the victim out of the vehicle. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.
On June 4 at 5:00 am, officers were dispatched to a robbery in progress at 7400 Stewart and Gray Rd (7-Eleven). The suspect entered the store, produced a firearm, pointed it at the clerk, and demanded money and lottery tickets. The store clerk complied and the suspect fled on foot with the loss. The clerk was not injured.
