Downey gets seven new coronavirus cases overnight
DOWNEY — L.A. County health officials on Tuesday confirmed seven new coronavirus cases in Downey, bringing the city’s total to 79.
The new cases are part of a surge in L.A. County, which confirmed 970 people with Covid-19 in the past 48 hours.
Officials also announced 22 new deaths since yesterday; of those, 21 had underlying health conditions.
“This week, and perhaps next week, it is even more important that we all stay home as much as possible,” said Barbara Ferrer, director of public health.
