Downey Meals on Wheels seeking new clients

DOWNEY – Downey Meals on Wheels is searching for local residents who need help with meal delivery.

Downey Meals on Wheels is hosted by Downey First Christian Church and provides home-delivered meals to those unable to prepare or obtain nutritious food.

Clients include the disabled, older population, and chronically or temporarily ill.

Cost is $8 per day for regular or renal diets. The initial minimum service is for two weeks (10 days), which is non-refundable. You may cancel at any time after that and receive a refund if there is a credit balance.

Volunteers deliver the meals, and the program is funded by donations.
