Firefighters battle three-alarm blaze in Paramount commercial building
PARAMOUNT — Firefighters Monday morning waged a four-hour defensive battle against a three-alarm blaze in a commercial building in Paramount.
The fire was reported about 12:40 a.m. in a 40,000-square-foot building in the 7500 block of East Rosecrans Avenue, Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Michael Pittman told City News Service.
Smoke and flames were showing through the roof when firefighters arrived, Pittman said. A total of 120 firefighters responded to take up positions to train water on the flames from outside the building.
The fire was reported out at 4:45 a.m. with no injuries to firefighters or civilians, LACo Fire tweeted.
