Gangs Out of Downey golf tournament set for Oct. 4
DOWNEY — Spots are still available to participate in Gangs Out of Downey’s charity golf tournament, taking place Monday, Oct. 4, at the Rio Hondo Golf Course.
Funds raised from the tournament will finance college scholarships for graduating high school seniors. The scholarships are awarded in memory of Ricky Galvez, the Downey police officer killed while on-duty in 2015.
The cost to participate as a single golfer is $200; foursomes are $800. Sponsorships are also available, ranging from tee signs ($125) to corporate sponsor ($5,000). Tickets to the awards dinner only are $50.
Registration begins at 10:30 am with a 12 pm tee time. The awards dinner is at 5 pm.
