Letter to the Editor: Desalination plants
Dear Editor:
Does anyone notice that almost all California politicians avoid talking about desalination plants that would solve our water shortage?
Other countries such as Australia, Saudi Arabia, Israel and Kuwait have desalination plants. Israel now has a surplus of 50 percent of water needs.
This coming Thanksgiving, the San Diego area will have a desalination plant that will produce 2 million gallons per hour.
There are 12 cities along the coast that want desalination plants. The State Water Resource Control Board is slowing down this great need of water for California.
