Dear Editor:

What a welcome surprise it was to learn Assemblymember Cristina Garcia introduced AB 1395 that would limit emissions and diminish the effects of climate change.

California has an Assemblymember who can think globally and act locally. With this legislation, she urges us to stick to targets to attain net-zero carbon emissions by 2045.

My question is: why not 2025?
