Roger Miller is historical society guest speaker
DOWNEY – Longtime Downey resident Roger Miller will be the guest speaker at Thursday’s Downey Historical Society meeting from 6-8 pm at the Barbara J. Riley Community and Senior Center.
The Miller family moved from Albequerque to Downey in 1956 so that Roger’s father, Roland, could work at North American. Roger’s mother, Ruth, joined the Downey City Library in 1958 and managed the library from 1962 to 1984.
Roger graduated from Warren High School in 1973. He has presented many programs of his video documentaries about Downey.
Thursday’s presentation is free and open to the public.
